WELCOME TO THE 2024-2025 CURLING SEASON!
LEAGUE PLAY
The Monday Men’s, Wednesday Men’s and Thursday open leagues remain the same as last year.
The men’s playdown and club playdown system will continue this year in the same format as last year.
League play starts Monday, November 11.
The season ends with playdowns from March 10 to 14, 2025.
There are no games between Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24) and Friday, December 27.

Look for emails from those league chairs if you played in the Monday, Tuesday, or Friday leagues last year.
The ratings committee has new ratings for the 2024-2025 season.
The ratings committee takes into account keeping teams together whenever possible when determining the ratings. The 2024-2025 ratings (men, women, and inactive) are available by clicking here.
Teams with 5 curlers are acceptable for the league. However, for playdown purposes,
a 5 person team must declare the 4 players that will play down during the first week of the league.
Teams of 50 points or less in the Tuesday Women’s, Thursday Open, and Friday Mixed leagues with
any combination of men and/or women are eligible for club playdowns.

Junior Curling Program
We have organized two sign-up sessions. The first will occur at the curling club on Tuesday, September 24,
from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and the second on Wednesday, October 9, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Feel free to share this information with your friends.
If you are unable to attend one of the sign-up nights, you can send a check along with the forms to the
Portage Curling Club, PO Box 55, Portage, WI 53901.
This year, our curling season will run from November through the end of January.
Dues are $40 for first and second-year members and $60 for those beyond that.

CHECK OUT OUR NEW ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES
We are currently accepting advertising orders for the 2024-2025 season to support the Portage Curling Club.
By advertising your business in our ice house, your business logo will be seen by our club members on a
weekly basis and by out-of-town visitors attending our bonspiels.
Many of these bonspiels take place over a weekend, and visitors will be seeking local services while they are in town. This exposure will keep your business visible to our curlers, their families, and friends.
