Friday Night Mixed League welcomes new and experienced curlers ages 21 and older. Because of its relaxed, social atmosphere, this league is great for new curlers. The mixed format means that two males and two females make up a team, and the throw order alternates (boy-girl-boy-girl).

NEW U5 LEAGUE

The U5 League will start January 8 and run through February 26. The cost is $125 minus any money you paid for lessons:

example- participate in lessons three times- paid $30, then dues will be $125-$30, so you would owe $95.

Each week of the league, we will mix up the teams and the position you play, so if you miss a week of two that's ok.
To make it a little competitive, we will keep track of points- one point for each point your team scored,
one point for each end the team scored, and two points for a win or one for a tie.

Current and past members with 5 or fewer years of curling will be invited to join this league.
Our current members will not have to pay extra to be in this league and will have full membership benefits
such as a keycard for the club and membership in the beer club.

U5 LEAGUE

Our November-December Monday learn-to-curl season has been very successful! We have introduced more people to curling than we have during an Olympic year...and more people are coming to try it in the next few weeks. Thanks for all the shares on social media. We also have twenty-one brand-new league curlers this season.

We are ready to start our U5 league which will meet Monday nights at 7:15 from January 8th through
February 26th. All of the learn to curl participants and
all of our members with 5 or fewer years of experience have been invited to join this league. We also reached out to former members who curled for five or fewer years.

This is a great opportunity to help our new curlers learn as much as they can from those who have been curling for many years.

EXPERIENCED MEMBERS ROLE IN
THIS LEAGUE

Please encourage your newer members to participate in this league.
We will assist with strategy, etiquette, and game play.
We will also help with their delivery and sweeping technique. This is a drop-in league, so they can come
whenever it fits into their schedule.

Volunteer

Can you help at least one week? We need people to help discuss strategy with the skips and also with keeping the game moving by teaching rock-ready skills and reinforcing etiquette.

TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP OUT WITH THIS LEAGUE PLEASE CLICK THE BUTTON BELOW.

There are four spots to sign up. We need a minimum of at least two people each week. This will allow our instructors to work with any new curlers who might show up.

The goals...

1) to improve their skills and knowledge of the game

2) gain new members next season who are ready to fill in our rosters

INFORMATION SENT TO CURLERS:

Games will be six ends. Teams will be formed each week with players playing at different positions - if couples want to curl together that will be possible. Some games will be four-player teams, others might be triples or doubles.

To add a little incentive, points will accumulate individually and the top four players will be honored at the end of the season. POINTS: 1 point for each point scored, 1 point for each end scored, two points for a win and one point for a tie - no extra ends.

Thanks for promoting this new league and for any help you can give. We know that many of you also curl on Monday nights but several of you have reached out to say you would be willing to help out.
