Junior Curling

The goal of the Portage Curling Club Youth Program is to introduce the sport of curling to local youth ages six and up. Our points of emphasis include: Ice Safety, Curling Basics, On and Off Ice Etiquette, Basic Strategy, and Sportsmanship. No experience is required. The program is intended to be instructional and recreational in nature.

You MUST carry in clean shoes to wear on the ice. Special curling shoes are not necessary, regular tennis shoes are OK, but they cannot be worn for anything other then curling, not even for going home from the club. Even the smallest granules of sand, soil, or other debris carried onto the playing surface destroys the ice and consequently the game.

INTERMEDIATE:  Saturdays 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM
